Luke E. Chesney, MD

A Knoxville native, Dr. Luke Chesney is grateful to care for patients in the same community where he grew up. After graduating from Bearden High School, he attended Samford University, where he earned a degree in Philosophy and Religion. He also spent a year studying modern Christian literature before ultimately following his calling into medicine.

Dr. Chesney completed medical school at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine, then returned home to Knoxville for his internship and residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He joined Summit Medical Group in 2011.

Deeply rooted in the community, Dr. Chesney values building long-term relationships with patients and families, and is dedicated to advancing high-quality, patient-centered family medicine in East Tennessee. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and their three children, cheering on the Vols, and unwinding on his back porch.
