Mackenzie Simmons, FNP-BC

Mackenzie grew up in Knoxville, TN but has called Nashville home for over 10 years. She graduated from Belmont University with cum laude honors and her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She then worked as a registered nurse in Centennial Medical Center's Coronary Care Intensive Care Unit for 5 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. She returned to Belmont University for her graduate studies where she was awarded her Doctor of Nursing Practice after completing her graduate research in opioid overdose prevention education and naloxone (Narcan) training for undergraduate college students. She is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. Mackenzie has a passion for delivering compassionate patient care and is thrilled to be a part of the CSIMP team.

In her spare time, Mackenzie loves going to concerts, attending Nashville Sounds and Predators games, trying out new restaurants, and traveling whenever possible. She enjoys movie nights with her fiancé, game nights with friends and family, and snuggles with her corgi Murphy and cat Snickers.
