About Dr. Lakin
A Powell native, Dr. Lakin graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelor's degree in microbiology and a second degree in psychology. He received his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Knoxville Medical center in Family Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He joined Emory Family Practice in 2021.
Dr. Lakin enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, cheering on the Volunteers, and playing music as often as possible. He and his family live in the Powell community and attend church at Sevier Heights Baptist.
