John Hollandsworth, MD

"I was raised in a small coalfield town in the mountains of West Virginia. My father was a greatest generation World War II veteran who instilled into me the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. When I was growing up, I thought about how I could blend his values with my skills and gifts to serve people; medicine seemed a natural choice. Today, I feel honored and grateful to be a physician. I enjoy helping people improve their health and understand both wellness and disease. To me, medicine is about much more than just prescribing pills - it is about helping people heal throughout their lives and become the best version of themselves. As a family physician, I am in a special place to directly impact people's lives in a variety of ways every day, and I am incredibly grateful for that opportunity.

Beyond my work, I am blessed to be married to my wonderful wife Tina. We have four grown children that live throughout the country and three rescue dogs that keep us both busy and loved. I enjoy reading, writing, taking in the beauty of the Smokies and riding the rollercoasters at Dollywood. My wife and I have lived throughout East Tennessee over the past 30 years and are now happy to call Sevierville our new home."
