Since its formation in 1995, Summit Medical Group has
prided itself on attracting and retaining the highest
quality physicians. Founded with 37 physicians, Summit
has grown to include over 218 physicians who practice
family medicine, internal medicine, hospitalist
medicine, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine or
rheumatology.
Our physicians are Board Certified in their practice
areas, and many have earned fellowships/masterships with
organizations such as the American Academy of Family
Physicians and American College of Physicians.
Summit physicians have been recognized nationally by the
National Committee for Quality Assurance for their
excellence in care areas including diabetes,
heart/stroke. Summit physicians have also served
in local/state leadership roles, such as presidencies of
the Tennessee Medical Association the Knoxville Academy
of Medicine.
