About Dr. Chesney

Dr. Chesney is a Knoxville native who is grateful to be back in his hometown practicing family medicine in a community that he loves. A graduate of Bearden High School, he received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Religion from Samford University. Additionally, Dr. Chesney spent a year studying modern Christian literature at Duke Divinity School before ultimately pursuing his career in medicine. He attended the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, eventually returning to Knoxville to complete his internship and residency training at University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Dr. Chesney and his wife have three energetic children (two daughters and a son). When he is not busy seeing patients, chasing his children around, or attending UT sporting events, he can usually be found enjoying the quiet of his back porch.
