The mission of Summit Medical Group physicians is to provide the highest quality medical care and service to our patients. Your Summit primary care physician endeavors to become the center of your medical care and your health. Our primary care physicians are recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for excellence in the areas of diabetes care and heart/stroke care.

In addition to our physicians, your health care team includes nurse practitioners and physician assistants and medical assisting staff, dietitians, X-ray technicians, physical therapists, and care coordinators. Summit has both in-office labs as well as a central accredited laboratory that performs 5 million tests annually, and expedites lab results back to your physician via an electronic system. Summit physicians use electronic prescribing whenever possible (by law, some drugs must be written on a paper prescription pad) ) getting your prescriptions filled faster, easier and more safely and accurately.

Summit also operates three urgent care centers with extended and weekend hours, called Summit Express Clinics for acute care needed when your physician’s office is closed or on short notice when no appointment is available.

Summit’s Sleep Services provides sleep medicine including consultations, sleep studies and follow-up care. For patients who need physical therapy, Summit operates four centers to provide this service.

Summit’s hospitalist division, Statcare, provides expert inpatient care, delivered by physicians and midlevel practitioners who specialize in hospital medicine and who are at the hospital 24 hours each day, seven days a week. These physicians have immediate access to your electronic Summit health record and communicate with your Summit primary care physician.

Statcare Pulmonary Consultants is one of the largest pulmonary clinics in the country. Its pulmonologists specialize in respiratory diseases as well as intensive care medicine.
