Knoxville Kicks Off National Heart Month with Go Red Proclamation

The City of Knoxville joins the American Heart Association’s national call for awareness by encouraging the greater East Tennessee community to participate in Wear Red Day. The City Mayor designates February 1 as Go Red Day. Summit Medical Group is a sponsor of the local initiative, which is part of a national campaign.

National Wear Red Day

On Friday, February 1st, 2013, Knoxville will join the American Heart Association’s national call for awareness by encouraging our community to participate in Wear Red Day. The local AHA office will be hosting a joint mayoral proclamation at the City County Building’s main assembly room featuring educational booths from both Tennova Healthcare, local Go Red for Women cause partner, and Summit Medical Group, Go Red for Women Luncheon sponsor presenting. Door prizes will be available. Please join us on February 1st and throughout Heart Month and WEAR RED!
