Our patients are primarily seen by appointment only thus allowing both more convenience to the patient and the opportunity for better care. We make a sincere attempt to adhere to the appointment schedule, but when emergencies arise, they must take precedence and some delays may therefore occur. If you need to make a routine appointment, please call your Summit physician's office and ask to speak to one of the schedulers.

Prescriptions  top of page
To obtain a refill during an appointment, please bring a current listing of your medications or the medications themselves. It is not our policy to prescribe new medication over the telephone. Your non-urgent prescriptions will be fulfilled within 24-48 hours; however, please verify with the pharmacy that your prescription has been called in prior to attempting pick up.

Medical Records  top of page
The contents of your medical record remain confidential and will only be released upon your written consent.

Referrals  top of page
Your primary care physician is responsible for arranging your medical care, including referrals to specialists, if required by your insurance plan. If you think you require the care of a specialist, please call your physician's office for appropriate direction. When in the office, please be certain to obtain your referral (if needed) before leaving.

Lab Results  top of page
Your Summit physician will either mail laboratory results directly to you or give them to you at the time of your next visit. In the case of an urgent result, or if further tests are needed, your physician's office will call you as soon as possible.

Additional Services  top of page
On-site services vary in certain offices, but may include EKG, holter monitors, x-ray, minor surgery and other medical services.
